That's my point. Wouldn't it be easy to set five longer slugs than 10 shorter ones?

What am I missing in understanding the process that you use?

Finding that size and still being able to sell at a reasonable cost.

Tungsten is very hard to manufacture and comes in extremely limited sizes.

I've been using the black Pampa. They work well with no issues.

We used tungsten weights in our Super Late Model race cars. Large two-inch thick sheets. We found an unlimited amount of sizes. We used tungsten in place of lead, more weight in a smaller package. Was very costly but money was no object back then.

Larger sizes are very easy to find. Almost no one wants to deal with the small stuff.

Also what grade did you guys use? The pure stuff is what you want for this kind of project.

We used the pure stuff. 250 pounds of weight was several thousand dollars. Needless to say when we sold a car, we replaced it with lead.

I had Swiss make me one of his guides using tungsten. Somewhere on his low CG guide thread I posted the weights of a plain guide, a brass insert guide, and the guide with the tungsten insert. The Pampa guides work very well without the extra weight. I have not gotten around to testing the weighted ones. I assume they will work very well also.

I have found small dia. tungsten rod but have no desire to make my own weighted guides. I will just buy them.
