Hey guys!
I see us Portland folk have done a pretty poor job of keeping this forum updated with our activities. We have a lot of racing going on this winter so I thought I would get a thread started about it. We have 3 1/24 tracks in the area that are hosting both regular and special events between now and next june. You can check out NASTE.org for a full schedule!
First up is Bob's Springwater Raceway. They recently ran a sportscar race with huge attendance, this was the inaugural event since he re-constructed this track. It is a monster 140' layout 8 lane. He has a couple more special events coming up this year.
The first being JAN 04. Which features the first round of our Columbia George Porsche 962 shootout. This for Scholer, or slotting plus type chassis cars featuring Teambluegroove lexan 962 bodies.
The Second Track is InSlot's checkered flag raceway. Bill relocated and rebuilt the track last year. The first race is being held on the 23rd of this month.
We will be running NASCAR and CAN AM per our local club PASER rules. There are many special races planned throughout the winter for this venue.
Lastly is Howie's Rapid Raceway. This is home to our Saturday night racing, as well as the occasion "special" event. His track runs their own "true scale" ruleset for most classes. The races is fast and fun!
We always welcome drop-in's and first timers, and there is usually enough cars and controllers to go around.
