It was a great day. wonderful to see some old friends I had not seen in years and meet a few new ones too. 

 

Lots of cool old cars. Thanks to Mike Shepard for my race car. Love that Lotus 40. We had everything from Cox kit cars to padlock motored to early anglewinders and more, and they all performed surprisingly well.

 

Thanks to Charlie and Wade for getting the ball rolling and to Clyde and the track crew for putting it on.

Because of time constraints, I wasn't able to take any notes and because of this, I probably won't be able to answer questions about individual cars.

Sorry that your car and Raymond's were not better. The first couple heats were awesome  to watch as you and Dave were feet apart on  red and white and Raymond was just  a little behind. 

Raymond's Champion 16D  lost a wire and Eddie's Mura got so hot it unscrewed itself from the chassis.  Some things from the 60's haven't changed.

Met a bunch of great guys and hope to do it again!  Thanks to Mr. Fleming for all his help. 
 
Met Mr. David Hinely when I was  12 or 13 at  Macon Raceway, he was winning a race on the Red track and after 57 years he is still winning  today!  Fun to watch!
