I heard Ken retired to Texas, but don't know if that's true or not. He's not been pushing products on eBay for months.

They were recommended to me by my Chief Car Builder. I have a few of them. I have no idea what Scott does to them, and I have not run them yet.

I think he "hand picks" them. I have a couple that were better than average and a couple that were not.

I read/heard that the screamer motors have the magnets re-zapped.

The magnets are not ceramic, so it is extremely doubtful they have been zapped. As far as hand picked, that is a bit of a crap shoot.
Unfortunately this sounds more like marketing than technology.

I now remember asking Scott, a long time ago, about the screamer motors he offers and he did say he "re-zapped" the motors!

The balancing is done at the factory, not at PCH. Being a Screamer has nothing to do with balancing. They are sealed disposable motors. They can't be opened or modified.
All disposable motors have some that are duds. Again, this has nothing to do with Screamers. Why don't you guys just call PCH and ask what they do to make them "Scream" LOL

When I was a kid, the only thing in sealed cans were sardines. It's amazing what they put in them today.

It's not the motor that screams--it's the buyer when they find out there is nothing special about them other than the price!!!

He does Have a Cobalt Zapper If that's what's needed to charge them and I have used them Many years ago on batch 2 I think they were a buck more then I'd say maybe I got 6 and all ran well and I used them in F1 because They had awesome brakes but back then 2 races if you were lucky on a motor and my love for these things has run it's Course
