The first four motors are "stock". The motor on the far right, however, had to be assembled from parts.
This can is a Dart can, repainted from it's yucky yellow to a nice Ford blue (I'm a Ford man anyways, so . . .) It came pre-modded with the axle cut-out on both sides and the bushing shaved. After I assembled it, I decided to build a car.

Chassis is pretty much jigged up now.
This center section was originally endbell drive. I heated up the axle uprights and re-bent them to get a can drive configuration.
I'm hoping to get to the pans and drop arm this weekend.

Nice job Mike! Do you have a particular body planned to use with this chassis?

I love those center sections! Nice work so far and very excited to see your progress.

Clean build Mike, Love those NCC 20s (I grew up on them) a lot of power for the money as a kid.
I will follow it's progress.

First, thanks everybody for all the positive comments.

I do, and it's all painted. So with the motor and body complete, it's just a little bit of assembly for me.

Nicely done Mike. Super impressed with the re-bend of the rear axle mounts

Is 8 34 right? Thought these ran with a 7??

This car would have been right at home at Ron Granlee's Speed & Sport, with a seven tooth pinion it would even run in an open main on an American Orange. Very good looking build.
