Ford pick-up

When cleaning the workshop, I came across brass chassis in kit, from the brand Kemtron.
As you have to choose one, I decided to start with the one that allows the assembly
of one of the brand's 10 volt motors.
It is heavy, the latter weighs 83 g, so no question of putting it under a plastic kit, because it may exceed 250g with the chassis..
.
I have these rims, on the left, they are not aluminum, but metal, do you know the brand

Those wheels are MDC. Model Die Casting. They made some crappy frames but the wheels are very nice. They will polish up nicely.
Other wheels are Riggen.
Speaking of frames I always found that Kemtron a little odd as well.

Thank you Joe for this information
I saw MDC chassis, and it is true what you say.
I bought this body, it’s not Lancer quality, but I’ll try to make a cool car.
Since I only have front wheels, I will make inserts for the rear wheels

Wow, nice Régis. Did you make the inserts from another pair of wheels?
I think MDC only made these wheels in a single width for both front and rear. I have some, but if I remember right, they're all the same...
I like the Kemtron chassis a lot, and have always found them to run very well, right from the beginning. Pretty easy to put together too.

Your very welcome.
I think that is a repop of a rare International body. Not sure.
Wow, those inserts look great!
May I make one suggestion. Mill down the center thread boss in the Riggen wheel so the insert sits deeper in. I think it would look nicer.
Again, no criticism of your fantastic work, just a suggestion.
Oh, and I see you are using Riggen Specials on the rear. One of my favorite tires. These are very hard to find in my opinion. I think they are some kind of silicone compound. They work great on the track to this day over 50 years later. And look good too. A tribute to the quality of the product.

After a tedious masking given the depth of the cabin, here is the painted body.
The color is metallic red from gunze, it's surprising, but now that it's painted, it would have bothered me more about another car.
It remains only to make him a pilot.

Great video. Although the bikini's weren't quite as skimpy when I tried the sport. Just the same, we prayed for a "wardrobe malfunction". It was cut off old blue jeans for me and my crue. Not much good for anything else when the knees were gone.
