It's an Eagle Offy, but I'm not sure who made it.

Would not have to cut that much. 98% of the car is still there, just open up the canopy and attach a roll bar to the interior.
Be more realistic to boot!

Nice car JHW.
This is one of your builds ?

not trying to be difficult, but it looks like an Eagle-Climax.... F1 racer used before the Weslake V12 was ready.

Big difference in the rear deck.

Matt,
I see that, but that's the closest repo body I could think of. Did you ever have the original body?
Richard,
do you have a pic of the real car. I looked all over. It is hard to find for me.
I get the feeling this 1/1 car did not see the light of day?

I don't have that one, but it wouldn't take great skill to take a Vulture and maybe a Indy Eagle rear deck and make a body for a mold. Lot of work for maybe making 3-4 bodies. That is the bottom line of so much of this, all that work to make a mold and then only 3-4 guys will want a body.

If Gene wants to add to his project list, I've got an original Pactra for him.

Brad
If Gene makes it, I definitely want a few.

This is the only pic I could find that maybe the real car?
With its motor cover removed.
I did find a pic of the Pactra slot car but it a pic on photo bucket so I cannot share that one.
That is a Lola T-90 with a supercharged Offy. I believe that is Leo Goosen the designer of the engine standing next to it.

Jeff your pic of the Eagle has the same motor arrangement. But not the same car. The Eagle nose is different the cowling is not as high as the roll bar so not the same as the slot car body, IMO.
Steve,If it a Lola T-90 I still cannot find a pic of the real car. Other than the one with cowing removed #24 in black and white.
Is it the car that was modeled?
Nice Brad, I would buy two or three if Gene repops it.

Gene says to bring it, so it'll be in his next batch.

Not to be disagreeable but this Eagle you show has a different header pipe, different nose and still the lower rear cowl.
So maybe the slot car body is just made up similar to the Eagle.

Look at the second picture above, with Shelby and Gurney. It appears to have the tall rear cowl like the body in question, as well as similar to the Lancer Eagle Climax. I'm thinking maybe it was an early design that got changed from the original mule during testing. Maybe?

Jeff I am thinking the cowl comes to the top of the roll bar. Its not even close in the photographs you found.
Now how did Shelby insert himself in Gurneys deal? Ford engines I guess?

Shel was part owner of AAR with Gurney originally. He sold his share to Gurney.

Is this actually a Ferrari? Is this slot car a made up livery? Anybody know for sure what what it definitely is? For what it's worth, the picture is called ferrarifake .

the motor/ exhaust looks funny to me. not to mention the pointed nose.
