Never forget that first place goes to the racer with the MOST laps, not the racer with the FASTEST lap

Good  video. Shows what it was like when the sport was more popular. And what happened to all the young girls?

Those were the days for sure! Lots of hair without the gray and everyone was fit and thin. So many in this video are now gone or have gone through serious health trials. I was there along with the Space Coast Raceway crew. We were standing at the back by the open door for the main. Parked in the back for a quick exit as we had to leave for our flight to Orlando part way through the main. We almost missed the flight as a car parked behind us. In the haste to make the flight I kept the rental car keys all the way to Orlando. There was also an airport dash worthy of an OJ commercial as I left my ticked at the checkin counter only discovered when we arrived at the gate. Avis was not too happy with me when I turned in the keys in Orlando! Good times...

Great video. A few years before my time but lots of familiar faces there.

You gotta love Joel at the Nats in a sport jacket.

I've been beaten in weekly races by Bob Morton many, many times. Whenever he raced in the DFW area, he wasn't the guy to beat, he was the guy that was going to win. It was a given. He was that much better than everyone else.
