Smoother flowing track and higher voltage! But those times are ballistic---of course Sam is dialed in!!

i raced on that track at a big Retro race when it was in Whitehouse, TN. As I recall I was able to full punch some of the lanes but blipping a couple of the turns was actually the fast way around. Ballistically fast for sure but not the most interesting track to drive, it kind of reminded me of driving a Wing car.

They ran on 13.8 not the 14.3-4 you ran on there and we only wish we were running the 4002FK that they ran down there
and Sam was Fast but Duran was Faster in the Race 375 and some change

Cry like a baby, drive like a girl, walk like a man.
Give me enough rope and I'll build a fast car... or hang myself?

does anyone in SoCal have a drivers track? something that takes driving skill instead of pure set-up and "punch-it". I'd love to race on a modern american orange or some twisty flat track.

Piranha has a Facebook page. You can go there to check out pictures of the track and get information on upcoming races/ events. If you're locked down because of your doctor--then follow his orders. But I'm comfortable taking the proper precautions and getting out a little bit. Wear a mask--wash your hands etc. Don't shake hands-- keep a little distance between you and others--it's not so hard as some seem to make it.
Racing is part of LIFE--and I'd love to keep LIVING it. Stay safe--prayers for this vaccine to make the difference!! God Bless all in the slot racing community!

The flat track at Buena Park Raceway is certainly a drivers' track, and they've had a steady race program for years: Flexi cars on Thursday nights, Retro CanAm and F1 on the 2nd Saturday, and a variety of Hardbody scratchbuilt races under D3 on the 3rd Sunday (and 5th Sunday, if there is one). Things are a bit in flux and/or on hiatus due to the virus, but we're hoping it will continue when things open up again.

I had thought that way too about the king. But many years later..... I would squeeze the best lap out of my car I could, and then ask a good racer to try it and within a few laps he has a time 0.2 faster than my best..... go figure,,,,, lol

And the deadman..... The rest of the track is easy..... The fast guys just know how to do it right. Can't believe I loose so much time at those two turns,,,lol. Need more track time..... When is the vaccine available.....ugh
Timing AND good control around those turns where you can't full punch! I still feel I need to work on the lead on. That's my curse!

Not that I would have gone, but I guess it is not posted event to limit the number of people so it is within the safety regulations.
Piranha is in LA county I believe, and the situation is not too good right now. My gf lives in LA and hates the situation.
I look forward to better days in three to five months so I can get back on the track. In the meantime all the home fix-up projects are being done, I already binge watched everything twice already
