I think we drove through Bozeman one year - I seem to remember a really big Rancher's breakfast.

Anyway, here's the full lineup of Strombecker "Hemi" type motors. Red is the high-performance aftermarket one (though included in a few later kits); the blue endbell is the standard motor for their kit cars; the green one you know about... and I have no idea where the one with the black or dark blue endbell comes in! It's the same size as the greenie, and they're shorter than the others, but otherwise more like the bigger ones...

Anyway, I have an extra green motor if you can't find one in the States - I'm in France so it won't be instant gratification either!

On the Hemi's you put the endbell on and then you put in the brushes and springs and then there are screws that hold the springs. Can you post a picture of the side of your motor? Thanks.

The S-can adapter that is seen in the photo I posted of a Cheetah was readily available around 10 years ago or so, but I cannot remember where I got it. I converted 4 or 5 cars with the adapter. I have checked EJ's Hobbies, Professor Motor, and NCP Hobbies but can't find it. It is possible I bought the adapters at a local hobby shop.

Does this ring a bell with anyone?

I know there is an Eldon S-can adapter on Ebay but not Strombecker.

Igarashi still makes a number of flat can motors.  Is this anywhere near the size you need?

I was finding the chrome blue endbell motor in these chassis(plastic front , metal rear). It has straight sides unlike the TC32 which is bigger, and  has rounded sides where the magnets fit.

I once purchased an adaptor just like this one also. I had a local raceway order it from REH.

Its like a unicorn.....LOL

Computer is on last leg waiting on new hard drive...

The Green motor has no screws or anything for those pins... So not sure How it would go back to together...

Can on of you all post a picture of just that adapter if possible. way help in trying to locate one...

I checked REH and dont see anything like that but since I dont really know 100% I am looking for it makes it tough.

Thanks!

You will find one, sometimes you have to be very patient. It can take a while to find something.

T man, Bob @ slot cars central told me to use CRL (calcium, rust, lime) cleaner. After a VERY bad experience with AFX dust rusty must go (aka naval jelly) I would trust Bob. He also has tons(literally) of weird home slot stuff. bob

Anyone having any luck on finding more of those black plastic motor adapters as seen in that orange Cheetah?

I have a pretty big collection of old Strombeckers with that "3-pin" plastic chassis that I would like to try out some new motors...

I have just 2 of these black ones plus 2 different "chunky" white ones. The black ones are better... See photo
