I know I should have posted something earlier. I am extremely busy when you consider all the different 'hats' I have to wear now. But, in truth, the biggest reason for the delay was we both kept holding out hope that somehow we could pull something off this year. Maybe not the size and complexity of the R4 but something to show our extreme appreciation for all of your prayers and support. We miss the racing and, yes, we miss all of you guys as well.
The store is doing great, although COVID restrictions have been a huge, but necessary, pain in the butt. I've been burning the candle at every end possible and then some. Family and friends have been helping in a big way to keep me sane and to keep the everyday tasks as up to date as possible. Not having Cindy there has left a monstrous void that we can only try to fill.
All things considered, she is doing great. At this point she is cancer-free and 100 times more self sufficient than just a few months ago. Although she still has a long way to go, her progress is exceeding expectations. Unfortunately some collateral issues not directly related to the cancer, but more to the surgery, have caused several setbacks that have delayed our plans for a race this year. She is overcoming them each time but when you take four steps forward then three steps back, your progress slows.
We both remain committed to at least one more R4. God-willing and, barrlng another pandemic, 2022 could be the year!
Stay safe and stay tuned...
