My "fantasy livery" for the J Car is a "what if" it had been successful and Shelby raced it at Daytona. I patterned my car after his personal, recently restored Cobra Daytona Coupe:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This car was a very different build for me. It has very little traditional scratch build soldering and lots of machine fabrication:

 

 

It took over 15 sketches to design and fabricate the various parts:

 

 

This was a fun project and I ended up with a great running car but I'm looking forward to getting back to doing lots of soldering on my next car.

Rick, the car is another beauty.! Does your cat approve too? When you left them clear, I half-expected you to put something in the headlight buckets.

The stripe decals are from Patto's Place Isaac. The come in many colors, are very opaque and have pairs of different widths on the sheet. 

 

My cats are very supportive of my projects Bill.      The "something" to fill the headlights is the problem. I know a modeler could scratch build the "something" but I'm ready for a new project and to start soldering again.
