You should be able to stack 2 or 3 of those motors together, just like a rotary.  :)

Each motor needs its own controller, 2 motors = 2 controllers.

If 2 motors are wired to the same controller, the controller will go poof!

Drones have 4 motor controllers (esc’s)  on them 1 for each motor.

Tom there's seem to be a fair amount of interest in brushless drag cars. You should see if Cheater will add a brushless drag slot car subforum. And start a Facebook page.

Holy cow Phil! I’m retired! This forum keeps me busy along with the email and text messages  I get to boot.

Im not a Facebook kinda guy either. Just another place that has way too many experts with no experience.

BTW Phil you posted in a Brushless slot car forum that is also seen Worldwide.

I do answer all the inquiries that people ask me to the best of my knowledge. I will continue to do that.

I really appreciate that G made a place here on the Slotblog for the Brushless Technology.

He doesn’t need more to take care of (he’s winding down too )

Keep em Green!

Tom, in the US there seems to be more interest in drags. And there's people that ask about drag cars in the Facebook group. But none of those guys care anything about them them. So I think that a dedicated brushless drag forum would generate more interest than this forum does.

Just a thought.

Phil there are a lot of other forums and Facebook pages that post the drag racing YouTube videos and Slotblog links for everyone to enjoy.

I can be contacted thru both of those.

Thank you for the interest.

did more tests, but done as much as I can with current hardware -- w/o any significant speed.

will "think" some more and wait for more developing hardware being made available................

Mike would you care to expand on " w/o any significant speed."?

I think the 'Limiting' Factor, is the Talon 25 and it's inherent design/performance limitations, regarding Max' rpm and motor kv size.

Unfortunately, have Yet to test the ROVMAKER esc and have yet to hear of any further development or delivery time on the ModelDrome units.

Am hoping to test the Rovmaker unit soon,.. and will report my findings :)

Thought I could get more speed with gearing, but didn't go any faster.
So yes, need more pulse rate for more rpm to go any faster, or bl motor with less poles. Seen some 6 pole motors, but they are rather large

Yes it seems brushless has hit a lull. Not much going on at the moment.

I'm surprised it hasn't gotten more traction with the drag racers.

Hardware issue, hard to source parts for esc designed for us.
But there are guys that are able to tweaked the code of escs that will pulse fast enough for rpms.

And then how many guys are developing stuff with escs and BL motors that are not talking?$$$
Potential has been shown... Who's playing

MIke you had it geared 18x32 that’s 1.7:1 that’s really high!  You might want to go back towards a 3:1 ratio.

We are still playing!

I find that a 13:37 gearing is just great for my local Janis Nabokins track :)

If the car drives well it does not need to be the fastest thing in the world to be a race class.

If you can get a few on the track together start racing and see if it will grow.

Who still races wing cars? Port Jeff? Chicago Land? Bueno Park? I don't see the point in developing that.

raced a few grF (actually won a race, to my surprise,,,LOL), that's it, but too $$$$$ for me, was going to run HBB but refraining from all racing bc pandemic.

so just testing and developing which is as fun for me as racing - having the best king track in my backyard - got to do something when not w the GF,,, LOL!

not up to me as to the rule set for wing cars,,,

but at least they know they have alternatives if they want...

feel like the first guy to run a rear-engine F1 car LOL...

You know covid is never going away. It's about as over as it's ever going to be. It will be like the common cold. Always there. At some point you're just going to have to learn to live with it.

LOL! Do you have own key and only go when they're closed? You should just buy them out. Have your own private track. You can LOL at the people staring in the window wishing they could come in and play too. LOL!
