Checkered Flag in Hand

I ordered a NeAn body and when it arrived it is translucent white rather than clear. I knew from photos here and on other websites that the body would appear white but I assumed it was an over spray shield which would peel off.
What is the proper way to paint this body? It is a coupe so the windshield and side windows should be clear.

It has a thin film on the outside to protect it from over spray. Paint it like it was clear and peal the film off after it is painted.

Thank you Eddie and Peter. Based on your comments I went after a small spot on the back (flair?) and found it is a film which I can remove after painting.

Congrats on being the 2,000th racer fooled by that.
What's crazier is when the film is clear and barely noticeable.
I bullet proofed over it, once. LOL

Oh, I have that beat! I winged a body with the mask still on! It actually lasted almost a whole race before it started coming off.

I detailed a retro Cooper F-1 body over the mask once......

I was handed a body once with the question "how do you get these to look good? The paint is so dull on this and I used the paint everyone said to use". I peeled off the plastic and handed it back. A look at the body... A look back at me... A look back to the body... Followed by some head shaking and a sigh.
