Seems to me that Noose had a tutorial on body mounting on here some time ago. It may not have been a video but I remember him doing something.

I have been using this for years and it works well for the retro bodies I race.
The block is 3" wide and the brass tabs are stuck on with two sided tape, The plastic vertical in the rear is trimmed to support retro bodies at the correct position.
I trim the front of a body like i want and leave the rest of the sides long, set a chassis on the block setting on all four wheels and put the body over it.
The tabs hold up the front and the vertical holds up the rear with the sides hanging below the block.
position the chassis front to rear as you want it and poke the pin holes.
After paint trim the rest of the body even with the bottom of the chassis.
It works for me.
