In the scrap metal industry "clean" means no mixed metals (aluminum & steel or copper & iron for instance), consistent size, no excess oils or coolant. The box you showed is "clean".
Make sure to save the tungsten! WC(tungsten carbide) is getting beyond $12/pound now and it doesn't take much to make a pound....
I buy the tungsten pieces fabricated to the correct size.
I made a few dozen(?) tungsten guides, early on, cutting it to shape.
Never again.

That was going to be a guess of mine, but I assumed he would go by R & S Products.

Mike, I think you may be right on the R@S as that was the label he used on his painted bodies.

Nick, this is just a wild guess. I didn't know Tony P. and don't know where he was from but I'm going to say Tony P. from way back. But I don't know how your clue fits Tony P..

Lake Hiawatha is next to Parsippany in NJ, quite a ways away from NYC and most of the "PRO" tracks, if these are from the 60's. That's why I guessed something to do with O'Dowds since that raceway was maybe 6 or 7 miles away. In the 90's there was supplier of HO scale racing parts named Rabbit Racing, but he was from the Camden NJ area, so I doubt there's any connection.
How about a clue or two? Doesn't seem anyone remembers this outfit.
Unless it's from the 80's-90's....then maybe a connection to Zeppelin Hobbies? I'm just going by what raceways were near Lake Hiawatha

So ...........we have a winner in Jim Honeycut who was the first one to guess Buzzy.
The story goes that Buzzy used to buy the braid in bulk and repackage it under the Rabbit name ....................Hiawatha NJ address was used because it was his Brother's address.
There were many slot car products under the Rabbit name ............i actually have the whole price sheet for the company .............Ill post it tomorrow..

Great stuff Nicky! I was going to guess that the address was where Deloris was from. I saw the Rabbit spacers but looking forward to his complete list of parts.

But have we determined where Buzzy got the braids to re-package?
That we do not know ..............................unfortunately........Buzzy took a lot of secrets to the grave.
There are lot of unanswered questions about what was in the basement.................we have the goods..............we dont have the story to go along with it.
I constantly asked him to take me down the basement..............to no avail. I should have pressed it more .
