CMS announces the
Second Annual Georgia State Championships
on Friday, June 25; Saturday, June 26; and Sunday, June 27, 2010.

We will be adding two more races this year to try to appeal to more racers - a Skeeter race and an AMSRA GTP race. All race fees will be $10 and only the winner will receive a plaque.

In the SEFCRRA and the AMSRA races you will be able to use your own motors to try to save you money (due to this bad economy). All motors will be checked very closely before the race and if there is any doubt about the motor at that time it will have to be changed. When the race is over the winner will be teched and if there is any doubt about the motor at that time, it will be awarded to second place after he passes tech.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO LIVE IN GEORGIA TO COME PLAY, so come join the fun!

The weekend schedule will be as follows:

Friday, June 25:

Store opens at 5:30 PM.
8 PM: 4-1/2" FCR Lexan dirt outlaw on Hillclimb, SEFCRRA rules
9:30 PM: 4" FCR Lexan NASTRUCK on Hillclimb, SEFCRRA rules
11 PM: 4-1/2 FCR hardbody NASCAR on oval, SEFCRRA rules

Start times on Friday are subject to change and are just estimates because each race will run one after the other.

Saturday, June 26:

Store opens at 8 AM.
9 AM: Retro Can-Am on Hillclimb
11 AM: Retro NASCAR on Hillclimb
1 PM: Hardbody Skeeter on oval
3 PM: AMSRA 4 Flexi NASCAR on Hillclimb, AMSRA rules
5 PM: AMSRA 4-1/2" Flexi on oval, AMSRA rules
7 PM: AMSRA 4" Flexi GTP on Hillclimb, AMSRA rules

Sunday, June 27:

Store opens 2 PM.
3 PM: Outlaw 12 on Hillclimb
5 PM: Box 12 on Hillclimb
7 PM: GP 27 on Hillclimb

All tech will be done before start time and races will start at start times so please be on time.

Come join the fun and see all kinds of racing at CMS this weekend. You can really race with the best racers in our area.

series race #1 a HUGE success- event going to 2 days

Hello Racers,
series race #1 dust has settled and we have been looking at all the possibilities to change the event to where it is easier on everyone (as best possible). To anyone that was there you know it was a great turnout. One that all of us would like to see grow to even larger numbers of entrants. This was our very first ever series race since we opened 4 months ago. As you may have read or know 1st person by being there, we had a lot of entries. To be specific there we 85 entries in 5 classes. We have looked at many possibilities for changes to take less time and run more efficiently. We even looked at dropping Beginner LMP. The one that has the most merit is this:

All 5 remaining WASHINGTON STATE SPRING CHAMPIONSHIP RACES WILL BE IN A TWO DAY SAT & SUN Format.

Classes:

Saturday:

Beginner LMP (race #1 had 5 entries and 1 main)

Advanced LMP (race #1 had 32 entries images/smilies/eek.gif and 4 complete
8 heat mains)

Group 10 (race #1 had 25 entries images/smilies/eek.gif and 3 complete
8 heat mains)

Sunday:

GT12 (race #1 had 14 images/smilies/smile.gif entries and 2 complete
8 heat mains)

Eurosport (race #1 had 9 entries and several
that left w/o racing due to time)

TIMES TO REMAIN THE SAME : Both Days

DOORS OPEN 11 AM
PRACTICE & SIGN-UP 11-1
QUALIFYING BEGINS 1 PM

This change is being done to help everyone, racer, spectator, and track employee alike. I looked at travelers but no one would drive home after an 18 hour day anyway (I hope so for their safety). This should get us out on Saturday by 8-9 PM. You will be able to get a good nights rest for the next days racing or for some it will be a good time to get Sundays cars prepped. On Sunday we start early so you can be done and on your way by 5 PM. images/smilies/biggrin.gif My goal is to make this series larger and one that is not so taxing on people. We are here to have fun and when days go too long that detracts from the "fun factor". I hope this does not create any undue burden on anyone. If I have missed something in deciding on this change please send me a personal message or call me at the track -253-446-5039.

Thank you and we hope to see you at PSCR !!
