Looks like a Lancer Ford GT MK4. I might have a body for you. Is it standard 4” WB and 3” width?
Thanks! Seems to be dynamic handling body width. I have some that might work but this chassis is on the back burner. not sure if I should clean it are leave it yet.

Looks great. Love the Lancer MK6A.
Yes, that is a great looking body, but it's actually a Lola T160.

Among the many differences, the ducting in the front of the bodies are in 2 different places.
Also, the windscreens are different.
With that scalloped windscreen on the blue body, I question if it's a Lola T160, but I'm not that into it, to really know.
Probably Dave Crevie would.

The body in post 26 is a Lola T-160;
The body in post 33 is a McLaren M6a;
Sometimes it is hard to tell the difference in Can-Am cars. Note the ridge over the rear wheel openings on the McLaren, and the small brake cooling inlets in the Lola. Windscreens are not always a give away, since those are often tailored to the driver.
Incedently, Mad Mark's mystery body is indeed a Ford GT-40 Mk IV

I am going to pass on this wheel, I have never seen one like this.
A side note on your T160, at first I thought it was Dynamic, but on closer inspection the Dynamic T160 has a rectangular vent at the base of the spoiler, the Lancer does not. That is a fast way to tell the 2 apart. There are other differences, like the dynamic rear spoiler is taller.
If I was to guess on the wheel. It could be hand made possibly for drag use.?????

it’s factory painted too. pretty cool body luckily it isn’t too tore up. I was almost thinking handmade for the wheels. or could just be local small run like I’m sure a lot of slot parts where back in the day. there was two and half pairs in the lot.I am going to pass on this wheel, I have never seen one like this.

Good to know there is more that one, another tip is if the the one side is a curve? that would harder to do by hand.
So I agree short run by a local screw-machine shop, very possible ?

Yes the outside is convex or domed. this stuff is from Los Angeles area so I’m sure everyone around here with the means was making parts. either way I really like them! got them on two cars already hehe.Good to know there is more that one, another tip is if the the one side is a curve? that would harder to do by hand.

They are good 16Ds. Much better than the earlier motors. You could swap it out with a Russkit 23 to give the car some more go or just keep it for a future project.
What sort of period correct chassis would that go in?

You could use one of the Dynamic motor mounts or any chassis designed for this later type of can-drive Mabuchi: Cox, etc.
By that time, there were a lot of scratchbuilt chassis, or commercially made scratchbuilt style, but those were mostly for endbell drive motors. There are some axle brackets for these motors if you want to try to scratch one.
