It might be a JK body. A local fireman painted one red a few years ago.

Could be. I bought it at the local track probably 15 years ago.

Could be an old JK MK-4 but it is not the one JK is selling now.

Fixed this car up. figured out what the random tubing sticking up is. Its to lube the cloth armature bearing thing. Is pin tubes too modern for a chassis like this?

Pin tubing has been around forever. A lot of early 60s light wight chassis were built with it. Then we figured weight in the right place was a good thing.

Clever way to keep the motor bearing oiled.

Look forward to seeing what you do with this, got any plans?

not quite sure yet. has 4 1/2” wheelbase so I don’t have a good body for it. Just kinda threw it together to see if it will even run. If it runs I was thinking of shortening it and using a resilient resins Ferrari 335 I’ve had forever. or just find a long wheelbase body that is somewhat period correct.

I am feeling 4.5'' wb 60's stock car soft body. :good: Be a shame to lose the flattened (Cox Gurney ish) tubes and that long drop arm.

That’s all I could think of. I have a old REH lancer Dodge Charger that fits perfect but not quite period. also got to test today and motor runs horrible. super slow and inconsistent speed mixed with some screeching. might just park this one.
