How did P1 win this race? Isnt it supposed to be decided by the number of their locals throughout the year? I sat back and counted what was posted. P1 had 44 total entries through the year Fasr Eddies had 48 total entries throughout the year.

The rules say:  "The Enduro and awards presentations will be held at the raceway that had the most entries at the regular season races."

Since Ed and Marcus agree that the enduro will be held at P-1, they must be counting total number of entries, not which raceway the racers consider their home raceway.

IMO, the enduros should rotate to each raceway just like the regular season races do.  Next year Melbourne.  Spread the wealth.  But this is up to the raceway owners to decide.

I think the raceway that has the most traveling racer entries should earn the Enduro, those racers are committed and they shouldn't have to travel for the event that they earned for there raceway. The owner that has built a group of dedicated traveling racers should get the race.

But like the spec rules we cant let the racers that test different setups win, nor should the owner that builds up there racers get the enduro every year, thats not fair.

I'm not here to take race from any other track, what was talked about when we decided to have the enduro race was that the track that has the most entries throughout the year would have it. When I talked to Ed on Sunday he didn't questioned, but if he thinks he should have the race he just needs to call me or even post here what he thinks and the race is his.

I now understand that Ed's interpretation of the rule is the correct interpretation. I had previously not given any thought to the rule.

Ed's interpretation encourages increased participation.

For example, under Marcus's interpretation, Ed might choose not to go to the FSCS races at P-1 because doing so would give P-1 a higher total number of entries, thus reducing the chances of FER winning the right to host the enduro.

But under Ed's interpretation, Ed should go to as many of the races at P-1 as possible because that would increase FER's chances of hosting the enduro.

I doesn't matter how it's interpreted, what's the rule for getting the race?

P-1 earned the right to host the enduro because the racers whose Home Raceway is P-1, had the most entries over the course of the season.

Well I was wrong. I want to apologize for my mistake. I didnt count the total number of entries. What I counter was the number of people throughout the year. Again I was wrong.

It doesn't change the outcome ... but I know Lloyd Miller raced at Fast Eddie's on Sunday because his pit space was next to mine.

Not that the now-defunct "My Series" was right (after all ... it is defunct) but the rule was almost exactly what you described.  For example ... Jacksonville racers were only counted when they traveled ... not at their home track.

As you said ... the idea was to give track owners a reason to encourage their racers to go to the other tracks.  Yes, it meant Jacksonville guys were going to spend some money in Melbourne, Holly Hill, and at the other tracks.  But it also meant that racers from those other tracks were going to be encouraged to come to Jacksonville.  And that gave us a chance to sell parts to them.

And ... that's why I still believe that raceways should have to "earn" a spot on the schedule by sending racers to all/most of the races at other tracks.  As much as I'd like for there to be a Series race on that nice, big Engleman in Avon Park ... until they send racers to other races, there's no reason for another track owner to send their racers to Avon Park.

Lloyd Miller's home raceway is registered as RWB and he is shown in the NASCAR and LMP results.

I would think you could true them to whatever you want as long as they clear.

One would think. I heard they will all be trued to .750. SPEC racing at its finest.

Marcus is going to pre-true the hand-out tires to .760 so that's what I trued mine to for testing.

I setup a car and ran the entire enduro.  The total laps was almost 3000.

The chassis I used was an original Defender center with the oldest version of the required pans.  The car weighed exactly the required minimum of 92 grams without adding any weight.

I installed new Slick 7 bushings and JK axle.  I oiled the bushings between heats (7 1/2 minutes) with Glidex II.

RESULTS OF THE TESTING

The motor was as strong at the end as it was at the beginning and still lots of brush remaining.

The bushings and axle had not worn hardly at all.

At the midpoint of the test (1500 laps), the left tire had worn down to .740 and the right one was down to .724.

Rough calculations indicated that if I just swapped the tires with each other, they would both have a final size of about .705 (the rate of wear increases as they get smaller).

With .705 tires on it, my car would have had about .036 clearance so it would have been less than the required minimum of .039.  (I had installed the bushings slightly higher than normal resulting in .039 clearance with .710 tires)

So, for the remaining 1500 laps, I decided to leave the left tire in place (as I said, it was at .740) and I replaced the right tire with a new .760.

When I finished, the left tire was down to .714 and the right was down to .721.

Pretty sure Nathan is going to be exhausted from carrying the load
