Okay,  I love old drag stuff as much as the next guy but this is starting to drift away from the original intention.

 

I must say, great Dick Jesse story though.

Okay, lets move forward.

 

Here's one I did some years back for a drag proxy race.

 

Ronalds rail.

 

Didn't have time to test it so it didn't fare that well due the drop not being dialed in.

 

Still ran something around a 1.5 in the quarter if I remember.

 

Lots going on here. 

 

Body is a parts box AMT '33 Willys with a motor someone built 50 years ago. 

 

The driver is a kids McDonalds toy head that I glued to a Revell body and painted appropriately.

 

Chassis is made of two K&B chassis and held together with aircraft nuts that my friends father stole from Grumman here on Long Island in the 60's.

 

Same facility where they built the Lunar module.

 

Motor is a Super Challenger with a Havlicek rewound arm.

 

It's also been converted to Weldun 64 pitch gears.
