Those part numbers look like they both are used on the 517 motors. I have neither a motor nor an old Champion catalog to look at. Someone on here must have these. If I had to guess, I'd say the smaller bushing was for endbells, the larger for cans.

Didn't think of that Billnh. I'll check. The 517 9L fits perfectly.
Another thing I was wondering about, is oillite a aloy or a brand? I know they make filters from compressed bronze spheres. Is this along those lines?

89% copper,10% tin and 1% iron and iron byproducts. Amazing what you can find on the internet. A real shocker is, oillite has a website. I know, I know, hard to believe but, true!! Can't access it right now, thunder storms. I'll try tomorrow.
