Thanks Bill, I wouldn't have been able to have a whack at this motor had it not been for you (I had never seen one before)! I'm thinking about doing my first thingie and either this Russkit or a K&B Wildcat seem like appropriate choices. I have a couple of 1/32 bodies courtesy of Howmet TX that are sure neat looking. I have choice of either can or endbell drive and a couple of different levels of "heat", now I have to think about a chassis a little.
