Ohio Challenge Cup 2009-10 Schedule

Hey, racers, we have a bit of a schedule change for the Ohio Challenge Cup Series. It's been changed to four races, two races at each track and then the Enduro. So we'll have five months of racing rather than four.

Sorry about the dates, Dan. But with all the racing going on this year there almost had to be conflicts somewhere I guess. There are only so many Saturdays in a month and my in-store Nastruck Series is always the last Saturday of the month. Didn`t want to conflict with the Penn-Ohio; had some good interest from those guys. Hey, Jay! And the ol' Shifters gang.

Guess I didn't think about ISRA, not too many have ventured our way from that Series. Sorry 'bout that. Hopefully next year for ya. Dosen't matter what the name of our series is (OCC, NOSS, TRRS, OCC again) it's always been the third Saturday of the month for all but one of fifteen years running.

But we'll get to trade some Lexan in the coming months I'm sure. When I'm not racing at HMS Speedways on Sundays I'm planning on coming down to Frankie's and run some Retros. Plus I'm going to make my debut one of these days at Bristolville. Sounds like you have a good bunch of guys. And Cindy was great when I met her.

We are truly blessed to have as many tracks in full operation as we have here in OH and one pretty close in PA, too. If you can`t find a race somewhere any given weekend you just plain ain't lookin'.

As for you Justin... LMAO. Win the Bs which is no small task with the crowd we have and we'll talk then. Don`t let your mouth write a check your a*s can't cash, young man. But ya gotta love a little trash talkin'.

I'll be lookin' for you in As but ya better make sure you have all six bullets in that Model 29 and a couple Speed Loaders too, you'll need them all.

Don`t forget we're having a four-hour GT1 Enduro on Oct. 17 and you just can't get better track time than that! Call the Track at (419) 334-2100 to confirm. We have some teams already.

And Frankie, I always love your posts but GET YOUR OWN NAME!! They don't limit you to one per household... LOL.

Between the video games online and hunting I doubt you will see him. I have not seen him at the track in a long time. Cable man told me it's the wife. I doubt that, I think she is a better racer than Justin. Yo, J and C, we are racing FCR semis again on Wednesday. OH WAIT, that is video night, LOL...

And if you check, Justin, I was registered about a year ago, just could not remember my sign-up name, I guess that comes with age.

As of October 5, 2009, HMS Speedways, in Bellevue, OH, has been dropped from the Ohio Challenge Cup as its tracks are two much of a "challenge" for Group 10 and GTP cars.

We have been told that our blind corner and the inability to go flat out in the banks makes it too "challenging" on either one of our tracks.

As Bear puts it, "It is what it is".

Oh well, still can't wait to race, and by the looks of the new schedule I'll be attending all four races. Still don't know about enduro though; I'll keep my fingers crossed!!!

So what's the third race on the OCC schedule Fat Boys or Bristolville?
It's to bad the HMS Hillclimb doesn't support Group 10 and GTP. I would figure it would be like the orange track but you did say something about a blind corner . That could be alot of twisted chassises
Spoke to J.T. said that he made be interested in the enduro trying to get T.R. and Mark Simon out of retirement. The paper clip has not been kind to me in the past. Like you said fours hours of track time should teach me how to run on the paper clip! Hope to see all the regulars and some new faces!

Just some jacking up of the legs on the exit of the bank and a couple of turnbuckle wires and the track would be fine. The blind turn is not a problem, it's weird at first but you adjust quickly.

So Kit an hour and the track would be A-1...................

Frank and Bear made the decison without investigation, as Cap full punched all 8 lanes this evening with a GTP car running 3.5 and 3.6 seconds. We all know the blind corner under the bridge is not that big of deal as Tom L. was able to out run Cap in 2 classes and he had never been there before. In Penn-Ohio we only destroyed that one car and we know Retros are more sensitive than stamped steel, and that was a rider not caught in time.

Anyway we will still going to support the series

Kit, David and Bryan will run GT1 B Division

Cap GT1 A, and we need another driver here we have a couple in mind
