A full shot of the race with active counter live, maybe see all the drivers in a full shot at a better angle, too.

The bigger problem with multiple video feeds is bandwidth. If we tried to stream three camera feeds on this cable connection, the video quality would likely drop way off.
We're still trying to figure out what we're going to do when the racing start. One suggestion that's been made is to point the camera at the drivers at the panel and to have an announcer looking at the lap counter add commentary.

Whatever type of handwritten sign you just held up in front of the camera it was too far away to read!
Come in closer... or just say it?!
Edit: Thanks, Greg I hear you telling him!

Great progress, Greg . Looks fine. Wish I could be there and run cameras, switching, and all of that stuff that I do regularly.Geez, you just can't make some people happy... LOL!!! We gotta walk before we can run, gents.
Actually there is no need for extra bandwidth because only one camera feed can be shown at a time anyway, so it's a matter of a switching station and monitors.
Keep up the good work.

I'll be killing the video stream in a few moments to move it to cover the flat track, using Noose's wireless laptop. We'll try ti have it back up real soon.
Don't change that channel!! LOL!!!

OK, we've repositioned the camera to show the drivers panel at the flat track.

I don't use Twitter so I can't answer your question.
I showed Howie your comment...

PERHAPS... if it were to be put up on top of that cabinet/whatever that is next to the sales counter and wall...?.... it could look down at an angle and get all the track. I know the cars are "blurs" but we can actually see the racing then as we can tell who is on what lane.
Just givin' feedback, man... good or bad.
Above all, it is MAHVELOUS (my best Ricardo Montalban voice) having streaming video of a slot car race. I saw a bit of the Nats this year and some of an East Coast retro race earlier in the year... this is good stuff you're all doing!

Great clips and love the concept to be able to see it on the computer.
Looking forward to see more thanks for sharing, Hi Howie.

Who has said there is no live coverage of slot car racing.
Just think, back in the early 60's Wide World of Sports started carrying NASCAR races and look what happened there!
I can just see it now, "Today, live coverage starts at 10 AM. Our broadcast team on This Week in Slot Car Racing - Cheater, Noose, Swiss and Hershman will be conducting interviews."
Start getting those typical media questions ready to ask.
This could be the start of someting big - kind of like "Slotblog-TV"
"Cheater here with the winner of Can-Am at Sano-III . . . Ron will you tell about the race?"
Hershman: "Well the Fast-Ones Kirby Ti-22 was really fast, we had some outstanding competition, but a good strategy, excellent driving and outstanding equipment paid off!"
Run with it!
I love it.
So, what shall we call the annual awards ceremony, "The Sanos" ?
I'm not poking fun, just looking at what can be done to help expand the coverage of slot car racing!
Thanks for all the outstanding effort.

There's only about 10 guys practicing.
We won't put up the Webcam until it gets closer to qualifying for Can-Am on the Flat track later this morning.
(10:30-11:00) It really sucks up the bandwidth here at the shop.
When it's up and running, it really slows up cheater posting the results up here on the blog.
Question:
Can you guys watching hear me when I call out the standing between heats?
Can you hear the race announcing while the heat is going on with the fast times, etc.
Can you hear the "semi off-mike" comments I make to Hershman & Rande?
