Don thats a fantastic collection of LRW's, just great.

So what chassis did you put under your 1/32 & where did you get the body from? Does your bz have the same wheels as Joes above but with knockoffs?

Thanks for all the replies
Greg

Greg, The 1/32 Little Red Wagon Body is a Lancer and Dubro made 1/32 scale decals for that body. Sometimes they show up on Ebay.

The chassis Is a Parma Womp I picked up from Gary Gerding .

Now for the Hard Question about wheels. I have found about 5 different BZ wheel setups they used on the same LRW chassis. They all had 3 prong knockoffs , Tires were either Riggen or Magoos. BZ used what ever was available when they assembled the cars. That is why there are different setups.

1st issue had sponge slicks on front and rear with the letters BZ IND staped on the side. wheels were black with a polished silver rim .
2nd issue ,4 Sponge Slicks with BZ and tire Size stamped on Side with black wheels polished rim.
3rd issue , 4 sponge slicks made by Magoos, name is raised on side of tire , black wheels polished rim.
4th issue , 2 rear sponge slicks ,2 O-ring front tries on Black wheels polished rims.
5th issue , 2 rear sponge slicks , 2 O ring fronts ,chrome wheels .

I am still looking for BZ tires that have BZ IND stamped on the sides. If you have 4 tires like that let me know. I will buy or trade for them.

Here is a picture that I have picked up with Bill "Maverick Golden and Don Garlits. Both look pretty young and they have signed it numerous times over the years.

Do you two have any Mopars now?
One of mine is in my avatar.

Jimmy Flintstone Studios offers standing (driving) and seated (salute to the crowd) Bill "Maverick" Golden figurine kits in his 1/25th JF Figurines line.

Only $7 per kit! (unpainted of course).

Also available is "Broadway Bob" and "The Little Old Lady from Pasadena"! (among many others)
That's thirty minutes away. I'll be there in ten.

There's a guy who drives around my neighborhood in a "Little Red Wagon".

I think I'd freak out if I saw that going down La Grange road! :shok: :laugh2:

It was actually on Belmont in Downers Grove.
It was so loud, I could hear it about a block away.
I recognized the type of vehicle it was, by the front view, off in the distant.
As it passed by and I saw the LRW lettering, it blew my mind. :)

You talking about the one Gary posted a picture of? If so it was at my Mopar buddies house about 4 months ago. I can ask him who owns it?

I thought the one Gary posted might be the same one.
It definitely doesn't have the candy apple red paint job like the one at the Garlit's museum.

I stopped the guy and he invited me back to his house to show me another Dodge truck he has,
a stepside with factory vertical pipes behind the doors and a big decals on the side.
The guy lives about a mile away from me, in either unincorporated Downer's or Woodridge.
If it has the 1 real, 1 "show" engine deal, I'm sure it's the same guy.

If it was red than it's a Lil Red Express. I think they had a black version that was named "Warlock" or something like that? Believe it or not, but the truck was the quickest vehicle made in the USA off the show room floor in 1978

My buddy has one of those trucks along with his 1970 Plum Crazy 6 pack Cuda'

The photo given doesn't appear to be high enough resolution to read the lettering... but the card in front of it seems to say Brad (something), Downers Grove (AKA: "The Happy Place), IL.

Next line says
6? Dodge A-100

But I'm more curious about what it says in yellow

Greg, are you the Greg Batten from southern Maine? :)

Sorry Bill thats not me. Im in Australia

Greg, The 1/32 Little Red Wagon Body is a Lancer and Dubro made 1/32 scale decals for that body. Sometimes they show up on Ebay.

The chassis Is a Parma Womp I picked up from Gary Gerding .

Here is a picture that I have picked up with Bill "Maverick Golden and Don Garlits. Both look pretty young and they have signed it numerous times over the years.

Don, that picture of Bill Golden & Don Garlits is from the Moparnats many years ago. I have the video of the moparnats with them 2 talking about old times. I cant remember the year without watching it again. Don Garlits was a legend as well, his Swamp Rat was awesome.

Any chance for some more closeup pics of both the BZ and the 1/32? With the wheels on the BZ, even though some were black were they the same wheels on all 5 editions & the same as whats on Joes wagon & the bz Batmobile cars(only different tyres, & some were black)? Is the 1/32 a wheelstander?

Just to let everyone know Pattosplace has bodies of LRW in 1/24 & 1/32. He also has decals as well for both of them.

Greg, Here are some of the wheel set ups. The Standard BZ wheel with wheel size. Black wheel polished rim.

The chrome wheels with just black Sidewall Riggens and O-ring fronts with chrome wheels. They all have the Standard Riggen rims with 4 slots.

The 1/32 LRW used Cox 1/32 scale Wheels that come on the Cheetah. Gives it a more realistic look.

I think there are a set of Riggen tires and O-rings on Ebay now.
