Thanks for the pics. They really highlight the cool feel of your raceway.
I wish I was less busy and closer to you.

My apologies for creating any confusion. I confirm Michael's account of what happened.
Aaron purchased the Olgilvie King first. While a pretty good track, it simply did not meet Aaron's standards. He then went shopping for another and found the Tunkel King. Ed Tunkel came down several weeks ago and set it up himself... And while he was here apparently gave the Engelman the once over.
You guys are simply going to have to come here to fully appreciate what Aaron has done.

Thank you. What a great-looking raceway.

Not only is it a great-looking raceway, it is a fantastic place to race as well.
Don Berni is an outstanding host, raceway owner, and friend to all. There is a reason that I drive almost eight hours one way to race there, normally at least once each year. There is a synergy that happens there. Very rarely do you hear a discouraging word and everyone seems to have a grand time.
While the day does run long - from 8 AM to almost 9 PM, we have a ball, racing, bench racing, racing some more, and just having a fun time talking with all our friends and just having fun.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that the other thing that happens a lot is that we all have food, food, and more food during the day. If you go there, you will be well taken care of, have an exciting day of racing against very good competitors, and just see how much fun Retro racing truly is.
About the only bad thing is there are not more races held there. With eight raceways participating in the SERRA racing program and sharing all the events, there is normally a race there each Fall. I always try to make that one. Hopefully this will continue for many years to come.

In all seriousness, Slots of Fun is the best stocked raceway I've ever seen since I got into slot cars over forty years ago.

Thanks for posting that, Greg. I've been scratching my head for three days now trying to figure how I got involved in thatPablo, I meant I'm willing to go to two cameras, but probably not three... A body can only do so much on his own. Oops, I see now it was Vic who made that suggestion, not you. Sorry!

Pablo,Thanks for posting that, Greg. I've been scratching my head for three days now trying to figure how I got involved in that
That's simple...
It's the same way I am at fault for many things around home, at work, and in general.

Don Weaver and Marty Stanley working their magic.
Joe and Ralph discussing race strategy. If you need race plaques of any kind, Ralph Thorne is the man to contact. You will not be disappointed.
SERRA's Master Tech Director Jay Guard making sure his car will pass tech.
Master video streamer Greg Wells on the laptop checking if we could stream the races.
'Slots of Fun' bouncer Don Weaver (far right on stool) making sure everyone behaves during practice. Chris Barnes (on Jay's left) joins the practice session.
Chris Barnes' wife, Connie, talking with Jerry Richie. My wife Karen said she really enjoyed meeting and talking with Connie.
Our other Marty working on his car.
Richard Sylvester showing his chassis to master chassis builder Don Weaver.
They're still talking.
Master body painter Joe McIntosh tweeking his car.
... and talking.
Jim Beasley fixing something on his F1 during tech that he couldn't sneak past Jay.
Rick and Pablo waiting for tech to finish. Jim's still trying to get his F1 past the Tech Director.
Ben Kernan works on his car as Greg gets the settings ready to stream the races. The camera is held in place with a brick on the top of the window ledge about 10 feet above Greg's head. If the brick fell I hoped it wouldn't land on my laptop!
And here's Ben at his pit station.
I'll post the last of the pics tomorrow.

To heck with your laptop, I was just hoping the brick wouldn't fall on my head! LOL!!The camera is held in place with a brick on the top of the window ledge about 10 feet above Greg's head. If the brick fell I hoped it wouldn't land on my laptop!
You can buy another laptop, you know. Replacement heads are really hard to find...

Here's our 'Slots of Fun' mascott, Brittnay. She is almost 6 years old. Isn't she precious?
Here's Jack Wagner quickly downing some of Brenda Weaver's delicious sausage biscuits. He has to rush because........
...here comes Brittnay and she wants some! Isn't Jack precious also?!
Don, Pablo, and John keeping Jay on his toes at the Tech Table.
Jim Beasley working feverishly on his car.
Joey Newbern taking a breather as James Merriman continues to work on his car.
The F1s ready for Concours.
Marty, Tony, and Brittnay's master, Richard Sylvester (or is Brittnay Richard's master? ).
Richard, Marty, Ben, and our other Marty.
Brittnay says, "WELL, THAT"S ALL FOLKS! AND YES DON, I AM PRECIOUS!"
