I just purchased these for 'Slots of Fun' to project the race screen now being shown on an antique 19" color computer monitor. Instead of updating my computer monitor to a larger flat screen monitor, I decided to go this route. Has any other raceway tried this yet?
I plan to mount them both on the ceiling (when I can figure out how to get up there! It's a very high ceiling). Everyone in the room will be able to see the status of a race at a glance from where they are.
I plan on having two mounting areas on the ceiling for the 80" diagonal screen - one directly in front of the racers when we are not video streaming, and another toward the side of the track in clear view of a camera for video streaming over the internet (the stream viewer will have the same view of the race as with the SERRA #18 video stream plus they will be able to see the status of the race in the background on the projector screen).
When streaming, I'll only have to unhook the screen from where it is and re-hook it to the streaming position. Then I simply rotate the projector to the new screen position. Sounds simple... we shall see!

W O W!!!
Don,It's kind of hard to believe that "Slots of FUN" can be made any better then what it already is. You, once again, have shown us that you just run a very top shelf operation!
I see where your next regularly scheduled SERRA race is in August and it will be on the 21st and once again it will be Can-Am and Formula 1. That will be on my calendar and if we can make it up, I'll be there.
Do you have any other retro races planned between now and August?

And Don, this is another great idea! If there's anything we can do to help you get it setup, let us know. I'll volunteer a couple of other guys named Dan and Richard to help, too. (I'm sure they appreciate my willingness to donate their services.)

Yes, I will need the help of the Lexington Gang to mount the projector and screen on the ceiling. My 8-ft. ladder won't reach. So I'll need Richard to get on Dan's shoulders, Marty to get on Richard's shoulders, you to get on Marty's shoulders, and I'll get on your shoulders. I will then be able to reach the ceiling! Only problem is will anyone be left to hand the stuff up to me?!

At 'Slots of Fun', one really tall racer or several shorter ones!
