United we stand and divided we fall, the Legends are complete.
I'm racing the best here at BP but Father time is much better then all of us united.
Not a snob in this hobby, after all it will be gone, if we keep on going like we do, and I have nothing to prove so I keep on posting because I have nothing to gain.
It's our duty to remember the past so we can have a future.
Pistol Pete you will always be in my memory.

We even tried a Frankenmotor, whooo!
Duran turned a low 4.3" in the race, Howie a high 4.3" and he was second.

But if that is the case, that's a new race record and close to the qualifying record on standard power.
We are toast.

Mike Steube was top qualifier in F1 at 4.0505", while John Gorski was TQ in Can-Am with a 4.0406". The standard power qualifying record in Can-Am is currently at 4.21" and change.
The 2010 Checkpoint Cup races will NOT be run under the "hot" power, so we only expect the current qualifying records in standard power to fall.
Also last year, the Retro Pro race was run on the MTT track, this year on the King. So again, comparison is not possible.
However, Coupe and NASCAR races will be comparable, and Jail-Door USRRC is a new class this year.

BP has a lot of clever and knowledgeable racers. Cannot someone add one power supply to the King (for retro)and set it at 13.1 volts? Battery age and state of charge will bring a lot of discussion that could be avoided...

Mill, Last year at the Checkpoint, we had some motor problems due to high-voltage/ripple/whatever. This year, we hope to have none by simply NOT charging the batteries during an actual race but before or between. We had virtually no motor issues since we ran the races on batteries only.Philippe, what does it matter, as no one knows what the power is like on ANY given race day. At the enduro, power had waned at the end of the day, and teams that ran last had the lowest available voltage. Unfortunately, when the chargers are on , AC ripple is being introduced into the available power, as is experienced with the motors over heating and blowing.
Track conditions are another matter of course, but lately we have had hardly any problems one way or the other, thanks to the great job Paul is doing on preparing the track.

Saturday's Can Am warmup race was probably a preview of what to expect this Saturday.
Duran cruised to an easy win and set fast race lap of 4.281
I'm sure the "A" Main (as well as many other main races) will be closely contested, just like last year's Checkpoint.
Can't wait for the fun to start
See everyone soon,
