my dad has has his cucaracha since it was new and he cut the fenderwells of coarse, it is on a black iso frame, did they come like that rtr? he swears up and down that he baught it like that for a whopping 8$
ill add some pics if you want me to it doesnt have the original 26d it has a newer parma.

From my understanding of things over at the Cox company from own PDL, The black chassis is merely an aftermarket piece,along with all the colored bodies. The RTR cars were only in orange and blue for the Super Cuc.

Jamie, either way you have a great old car! I'd LOVE to see pictures! 
I don't think they ever came with a 26D, only 16D. I know some guys modified them for 26D, though.
