Does anyone currently have access to the American Orange with the Esss and the donut?? I need measuerment on the width and placement of the donut, as well as the width of the donut.
Length isn't much of a concern for me.
Thanks

Dad's Raceway in Desplaines, IL has an Orange that Chris Dadds made in the 1990s. I was told by Chris that the DECK was made to the exact dimensions of an original Orange - radius, esses, humps and all. It does have modern framing with open bottom and modern legs. Sano Dave Fiedlers favorite track. I think they are open limited hours right now but their Facebook page is active. Chris may have blueprints to make more......

Sorry for coming in late to this thread but that is something I do after thinking about the topic some.
The American Orange was made for a different time but could be a serviceable track for all sorts of racing, retro and even USRA opens if chassis design varied from the now standard aluminum skeleton. The last race of the 1972 USRA SoCal series was held on an Orange and cars were pre-air control as we know it today. The smallest wire in the main was a 26 single (mine) with most others running a mix of 24, 25 & 27/28 wire arms. It was a tough race that saw the home crew from AZ in the top three. I would suggest that todays open motors in a chassis that incorporates plumber or iso-fulcrum and possibly tilt pans could be fairly exciting racing.
If you can drive an Orange you can drive anywhere that emphasizes driving over horsepower.

The F1 retro race in Thomasville Ga this past Saturday was run on an Orange. Great race and a great track.
