Hi

Joe, since my closest track is 600 miles away in Denver....

What is this "productution" stuff? Ron actually sells pre-paints? And at what price?

No, Ron doesn't sell them. When I talk about production stuff it is what I used to do. Bodies like these were done without the lettering and were much cheaper.

The Ho Gurus of Riggen HO and the Toy Baron handed out a special project to both Jairus and me that is now complete and I got the OK to post the pics.

They had Jairus and me paint 6 HOs each in specific liveries with another 6 in any form we wanted. I'm posting mine up here and I'm sure Jairus will post his up too on the Body Paint thread.

Pretty cool!

Now, WHO gets the contract to scratchbuild the chassis' for them all?!

Let me jump in here real quick ;)

The RiggenHO Limited Edition chassis are not exactly 'scratch built'. We have settled on a basic formula that I believe runs good on a quality track and power source with a quality adjustable controller. But, the parts are custom assembled in that each chassis may have some fitting needed that another may not require. The bodies endup being custom fitted since the shaker plate pin tubes vary some from plate to plate.

Please allow Ron at RiggenHO another week to get things in order for the sale. I have yet to ship the cars to him and it may be till the 17th or 18th that he gets possesion. Pray that FedEx does their job right

If anyone has specific questions regarding the build, you may email me at tflynn7@verizon.net This will save Ron time in his schedule.

Noose,

Stop it, you're killin' me!

I just put a 1/24 F1 and an HO F1 side by side. There ain't enough Excedrin in the entire world to take care of the headache I would get from doing that kind of detailing in HO!

Magnifiers and all.

You are one heck of a man!

Thanks Marty. The wild thing is I don't need my glasses to do this stuff. But if you were 2 feet from me it would be like being on a trip in the 60s cuzz you would just be one big blur.

Noose,

Okay, now I fully understand . . . . you're so nearsighted that when you take your glasses off and get close enough to see what it is in front of you, it's freakin' huge!

That makes perfect sense.

Gurney Lola?

AFAIK, Gurney's T70s were always Ford-powered and used down-draft carbs.

This body has the side-drafts that were used on the Chevy-engined cars.

Hey..the body maker said it was a Gurney Lola vs. the Donohue one. I just paint them and on occasion letter them correktly. :D

Noose,

I guess after all the tantalizing paint schemes that you put in this thread, the Gurney Lola, well it's just kind of boring!

Nicely done, but nothing to grab your attention.

Still it's elegant in it's simplicity.

Marty,
The ones without the lettering were done for Ron Hershman's site and were meant to be this simple.
