Hey..think I can get $1,500 for my Bloom body?:laugh2:

Special project in the works for the LASCM and with the Dokk's permission, here are the first 4 "Bloom - Emott" clones to adorn the Emott car collection. Done in Bob's usual Orange fog and white with his white stripe and number 4. More to come and heck even copies of ones I did for him.

The pic is here. You should have the body but maybe I have it somewhere since you might have given it to me to hold before you moved. Have to check.

You are more than welcome. Dang..I had to wear gloves to handle that car because I was afraid of getting any fingerprints on it or getting any dust on the tires. It is such a work of art.

OK, enough rest. Had to get back to work. Sooo....

Sir Nesta decided he wanted a Crusade Livery (based on a pic he sent me of one of his 1/32 cars). Hmm..perhaps this is his way of seeking redemption. :laugh2: Anyway, here is his TI-22 for the Checkpoint Cup done up as he wished.

Now I have done some Bloom / Emott replicates and now I had to do a Bloom / Vitucci one. So here it is along with the pic I had to use for it. Bob did fill me in on the exact color scheme since this was a B&W photo and even PDL didn't know. Imagine that.

And last for tonight is a JD Ferrari for Jimmy Roselli. Oh I can't wait to see him drive one of this things when we are down there.

That is how I feel racing on the oval track at Slot Car Crossing in Holly Michigan. Eternal doom for a nub there. It is not for the faint of heart.

It was meant to be a tribute to how good the racers at Slot Car Crossing are. With my midnight shift and weekend work schedule I can only get there for one of their Saturday night races a couple of times a year and I feel like a nub.

Last time, on the oval, before the start of the race, the race director announced that I was going to be an "equal opportunity obstacle." A lesser racer would have been insulted. I knew it was true.:)

hi .. No mean to be rude ...but it looks like my kidd hawe done set up of the boddy..
the wing mount and fastening of wings and you dont hawe som thing to stabilize the damps nott in the front and not in the back of the damps ...a littel shame on the body, paint work looks super
but i think that it will not handel so good at the track if you dont hawe maide he damps from 0.07 material so its stiffer ..we use 0.05 for damps and stiffen them up with fiber glass tejp
if you like i can post a pic from the boddies we drive

Joakim,

You need to realize that this was how the bodies were done in 1978 when this type was first being used. That was the reason for this replication and not have one that would now be raced. What you refer to is correct from the knowledge you now have on how to properly set of the aero on the cars. The side dams then were .005, the rear spoiler .007 and front diaplane .015. In fact, the next generation of these had the front diaplane rounded at the front.

And if your kid can set-up a body then he's pretty darn good! ;)
