This is my Can-Am car ready to go. Oh yeah . . . the document in the other one is also here. It's a copy of the East Coast rules to keep 'em all honest.

I took on the project of recreating the Joel Montague's 1973 Nats Winner body to complete the car built and so well-described in this Vintage thread.

The second phase of this project was followed by a semi-replica with the thought that it would be somewhat like the original.

Nice as always, Joe! Is there some sort of "screening" effect going on in there?

Good eyes! And thanks. Yes, it's the use of meshing . . . very, very fine.

Beautiful, Joe! :) 8) I'll email Joel the link so he can see it, too. He's working on the motor for the project as time permits. I can't wait to see the body, motor, and chassis all come together! I'm sure Adam can't wait to RUN it on BP's King 8) .

Joe,

Extremely nice work. Seems like the Old Man approves. If you want to use a smaller staple footprint, pick up one of the Rapid staplers.

Speaking of Nat Sherman's. Last time I was there, I had the 80-year-old Oriental woman (salesperson) assisting me. Man, that lady knows her stuff. I bought a couple of cigars, for my cousin.

Super sano. Nice color effects on the Noose Concours cars. I like the new orange on the Tony P. Rubin Spyder F-1. Super Flaming Cooper F-1 getting me stoked for the F-1 Indy 500 at DOM's. I won't have time to mount the New Flaming Lola for this race. Unless you bring it over tonight. ;) You must be HIGH on FUMES :smokin: this week. Better watch out for you on race day; extra faster reflexes from pulling the paint gun trigger. :spin: :spin:

From the Urban Dictionary -

"Sano:
Officially from the latin "mens sana in corpore sano" (a sound mind in a sound body); adopted by California Kar Kulture in the 1960s to describe a particularly "clean" (sanitary) custom job. Rarely used now, which, oddly enough, probably makes it cool again.

Dude just got his lowrider finished over the weekend. Sano paint, not too heavy on the bling."

Sano has been replaced by "bitchin", then "cool", then "totally nuclear ("nucular" in Texas)".
But nostalgia is what we are all about here, right? SOOOOOooooo:

Correction: "nucular" in Crawford, TX.

Some of us made it through the 5th grade and can say "nuclear", unlike SOME Yale graduates!

The current word in use today amongst those we call chillin is
"Nicccccccccccccccccccccceeeeeeeeeeeeee".
This is usually communicated while they are "Chillaxin" and avoiding "Disatrophies".
