I'm racing the best here at BP but Father time is much better then all of us united.
Not a snob in this hobby, after all it will be gone, if we keep on going like we do, and I have nothing to prove so I keep on posting because I have nothing to gain.

I did order some urethane tires for some of my cars. I also tried to get Mike Brannian to finish up some of my 1/32 cars he is holding hostage.

If you are referring to the post I nmade somewhere else about the Lancia D24, then yes, those are similar to what I found. I think the ones I have are a bit "older" design than the ones you have, but bring them on the 19th, we can compare.

RATS! The 19th is the first scale race with the new owner. I guess I'll be GT12 racing.

Choices, choices.......
Should I refuse Brannian lunch if your cars are not done?

I received three cars from Australia last night that will form yet another IROC class - pictures tomorrow.

An old friend of mine in Australia sent me a big box earlier in the week. I was expecting one car in exchange for a scratchbuilt I sent him, but he decided it would be more fun for us to have 3:
These are SCX bodies on top, but underneath:
Plafit 1/32 scale metal frames, all set up and ready to race.
I will do a bit of testing this weekend to ensure that the tires work on my track, and then on the 19th we can run another IROC race.

The next Open Day at PMCC is July 31.
As a result of some expert re-engineering of the roof on my patio, it will hopefully be cool enough to race according to our normal schedule:
Track opens at Noon.
Lunch at 1:00pm (my wife has yet another dish she wants to try on you)
Racing after lunch, in whatever classes we can get together, BUT:
I would like to have the scratchbuilt cars not dominate the day like they did last time out. I know this is the fun new thing going on right now, but there are still some guys without them and not to many to loan. So we need to make space for the other classes we all have cars for, and probably for some IROC racing as always. We can run the Plafit cars again, and we never did get around to running the IROC Mini Coopers or the Classic Minis last time. Then we should also run our Group C/GT/Sports cars too.
Whatever we run, as long as we all have fun, that's what this is about.
Track will close at 7:00pm.
Later in the summer if it gets really hot, I'm thinking we might start later and end later, let me know what you think of that, perhaps a 4:00pm opening and run till 10:00pm or so? I have enough light over the track and extra light in the garage nowadays.
As usual, please confirm to me either here, in PM, or by email if you will be attending.

Given that the summer is at last threatening to break out in OC, perhaps we should look at starting later in the day so it's not quite so hot?
I have removed some of the fiberglass panels in the patio roofing, and replaced them with sun screen netting. This makes the patio area much cooler but does mean that there are some light/shadow patches on the track that take a bit of getting used to while driving.
We could start around 3:00pm and run till 9:30 or so instead - what are your thoughts?

Any time is good. I can't stay all day, but I plan on being there for a short while in the afternoon. We have a "concert in the park" to attend in the evening.

I will send out an email as well, but take it as official:
Track opens at noon for open practice.
Lunch at 1:00 or so.
Racing from 1:45 till 6:45, whatever classes we like, including some IROC racing.
Everything closes at 7:00pm.
See you then.

Hopefully I don't need to work on Saturday so I can make it, love the relaxed atmosphere and the camaraderie every time I been there. For dessert I would like to see Tore showing up, I missed the guy and if Bryan can get him out of the house it would be so great.
I hope I won't get lost getting there?
