But obviously not as fast yet as the BP track that has a 4.05" Can-Am record...

Nor as fast as the Can-Am record at The Track... 3.94.

This race is on the first King track Gerding built and every track built after this one got faster and faster.

Look at Gorski's 4.05 race lap at Gerding's last King track he built at Mid-America. ;)

That 3.94 turned by Dale Granger at The Track was also pushing a 100 grams car. How much faster could it have been if IRRA™ raced the D3 no weight limit rules... :laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2:

I believe some of Gary's later tracks are more banked than G1. Therefore: Less banking = more having to *drive*, which is the reason G1 is a few tenths off. I could be wrong though. :)

OK, I lost you here.
Which one is it? :)

At Sonny's where they are having the RetrPpoolza race... the Can-Am track record is now 4.27 secs, Gerding's first King track.

At The Track in Gaitherburg, MD... the Can-Am record is 3.94. Gerding's eighth King track he built. Not 100% positive it's G8... but pretty close.

Roman will set you straight if he see this. ;)

Mimi's track and Sonny's are two different animals... MD is way more banked and faster. The donut has so much banking that when there is a wreck the cars wind up in the red lane not black...

Congrats to all of you guys from me at the left coast. ;) I just got off the phone talking to Howie and he was very happy and he said his ride was silky smooth and that he had a great time. I was really stoked for Howie, and he still got the bite.

Too bad you guys are so far away. Also great race report thanks.

I forgot... he loved Bryan's chassis. He said it was super fast as you can see since he TQ'd with it.
