Aculeus took the first round with 83.83 laps.
The Needle in second with 82.71
Le Derrier in third with 81.04
Futurekingiethingie in forth 80.67
Mabuchi-Racha last 12.05 DNF
The word is that Pablos Classic motor with the burnt windings just couldn't finish. Sorry Pablo.
I will be watching Facebook all morning.
The track is only 5 lanes so the races are short and results will be in fives with the final results posted later today.

Cool Z, the slow cars are fast today .
A podium in the C is a good day for Marvin. His spirits are uplifted and he is levitating much less...It must have been the trip to the planetarium
Sorry Pabro
John how about an opening act gig right here to celebrate KarnEvil being in town.
Roll up and see the show.....Lite up circus freaks and enjoy.

i'm going out to play another gig in 45 minutes so I'll have to be brief.
Barney, Abbey Road isn't in the city centre. It's in a leafy residential area in the NW London inner suburbs. If you like I'd be happy to take a drive over there and take another shot of the Orange Crate and the famous pedestrian crossing?
It was definitely a race, and the four guys driving did me an incredible favour with their patience and lending us their combined skills for around five hours in all. The DNF count was far higher than I'd anticipated, certainly higher than a SunChaser round ever experienced but these cars are very different beasts. I'll be doing post-mortems on the casualties as soon as I have the time and the owners can take whatever decisions they choose in order to repair their cars before the Frank Elavsky Memorial Race.
Pablo's motor simply cooked. I'll show the ugly details later.
Rocket 88 had a lead wire detach itself in it's first heat but it was quickly soldered back and the car ran respectably in the other three heats. The motor got hot, warming up the entire body, but it survived.
Streamliner Cuc I'm not sure about. Probably another motor death. Sorry, Rob.
The Rem Raceway car had a good first heat but back axle problems stopped it's second run. The spur gear somehow loosened on it's hub and became very wobbly. This allowed the rear axle to tighten up. A quick fix was attempted but the same thing happened in the third heat so the car was retired.
John Havlicek's car had three good runs (the heat results will be published eventually) but got ridered into a wall in the first laps of it's last run. It was a serious impact and it dislodged the epoxied endbell bearing. I don't think Mr Secchi's repair can be faulted as the impact could have been fatal in any number of ways.
Edo's car had a fantastic result in one way. In the final seconds of it's last run an accident completely sheared the chassis central hinge (the Dynamic drop hinge) and the clock stopped with the Kingie's chassis in two completely separate parts. The luck of the Swiss, huh?
I unofficially pre-qualified the cars to put them into their three groups as Mike Swiss did (Hi, Mike!) in Chicago. Jairus' car top qualified in fact and I was expecting a tough battle between the two wedge cars. I can't offer any explanations for his slipping down the order other than his car suiting my driving style more than the styles of the 'real' drivers. Sorry for raising your expectations too high, J.
Time to pack up the axe.
Regards,

7th round is in the can and here are the official totals. As before, if anyone sees something wrong with my totals, please feel free to send me a PM and I will correct the numbers.
Steve will be posting further updates tomorrow and later on as repairs are made I am sure.
Some things of note are the fact that "edoTRON" has been steadily moving up in the ranks. Although it needs repairs, according to Steve, those should be fairly easy. I suspect "Streamliner Cuc", "REM Raceway" and "Mabucha-Racha" and "H-power" will be better suited repairing once they hit American Shores unless other arrangements are made.
"Vimanas", "Budweiser" and "Dyn-Astra X2" had their best showing here at N London finishing 12th, 13th and 14th places! (Way to go guys.)
"Scorpion" still remains in the number one spot by total points.... followed closely by "MantaRay" and then "Wavemaker" who only now displaces "Repelatron-Dynaslider" whom moves into forth overall.
Again, thank you to the drivers (Matt) for taking time out of your busy Saturdays to play with our cars. A big Thank you to Alex (Low's prodigy) for relaying car placement during the race.
Next race will be at Route 93 in Akron Ohio. This will be a Memorial race in honor of Mr. Frank who passed away earlier this month.
(Now... go play outside and get some fresh air kiddys!)

Can you please check the pinion on old Dynogram?
I'm surprised that it has lasted this long against the metal Cox crown.

Thanks to all who made this race happen!
I thought more motors would be in the dust in this Proxy to tell the truth.....before this... even mine is pushed as much as I dared and I'm surprised my first motor is chugging along!
I came in 2nd in the World Touring Cars 1/32 Proxy race today as well!

I don't have many photos of the racing itself (I was busy!) but I did catch a few moments on video which I'll post on YouTube once the tedious moments have been edited out. I did catch John Havlicek's rider crash right on the corner I was marshaling which was a heart-stopping moment for sure, and also the moment when Rocket 88's lead wire came adrift. When viewed as a whole the videos should give a fairly accurate insight into the demands that a tight short track can make on both car and driver.
L to R: Legendary Bob Hallums, Matt Brice, Chief Engineer John Secchi and Steve Carter who deputised for the unavoidably absent Chris Musto.
Here's the track, shot as I was setting up the tripod for one of the static camera video shoots.
The Gladiators all lined up and ready for battle.
A WHOLE lotta Thingies goin' on!
Today I'm having a break from slot cars but the post mortems on the damaged cars will start tomorrow morning. Expect photos and more precise details to follow.
