Awareness Speedway is located in Mechanicsburg, PA, and is a new Chris Dadds track.

The track is an eight-lane 11' w 15 deg banking x 22' l x 9'w 10 deg banking track. The track has a 75-amp Iota power supply and two 26 amp adjustable Pyramid power supplies, each powering four lanes. We also have two 6.6 farad caps with Lapmaster timing software and hardware system.

The track has Magnatech braid and is painted a dirt color to resemble a dirt track. We have pit space for fifteen+ people.

We are a private track that will be used by family and friends and have at least two open public races a year to help support the track. The mission will be to work with parents and their mentally challenged youths beginning in January 2012. We will have them come to the track one at a time to play in a private setting. The goal is to be able to eventually have them be able to race with each other. Then onto a combination field when they are ready to race with new people. We are going to be working with the NHS Carlisle Autism School.

We plan on having two or three races for dirt cars in 2012 to benefit the track.

Added some more additions to track and pits. The reason we are calling it "Awareness Speedway" is because we are "raising awareness" of working with these "very special" Special Needs people.

The track is coming along nicely. Our special needs program is moving forward. We had Alex who is diagnosed with autism on the track twice. The last time he was here with his brother. Alex was able to make 20 laps controlling his car with his brothers coaching. We will tech all classes and race straight through with a 15 minute break between races. Races will be 25 lap segments with 3 off rule being used for Old Time Modified, 1/32 Modified, Winged Sprints. The Street Stock is a crash and burn class. We are going to run 15 lap segments and have two races with total laps the winner. The classes are in order to be run. Street Stocks, Old Time Modified, 1/32 dirt modified, winged sprint cars. The entry donation is $15.00 covering all races. ($5.00 x 3 = 15.00 fourth class free). D.O.S rules apply except the dirt mods you may also run speed fx- 16d Chinese arm motor or falcon or hawk 7 motor. This is our last scheduled race at this time race till November 2012. Would like to say a great big thank you to all the racers that showed up and supported our racing program and our clubs missions. We would like to thank the racers that showed up to see what our track and club are about. The racing was fast and close in all classes. There was a lot of laughter and fun had by all. Also advise to our new racers and regular racers to help them get faster and handle better on our track. We are working on all aspects of our fall series(rules, classes, sponsors). As of now the Racing dates and starting times are confirmed for the fall series races so racers can plan ahead.

We will open on Saturday mornings at 7.15am and we will be racing at 10am sharp or earlier if everyone is ready. Tech will be from 9.20am till 9.50am then no more cars will be accepted. We will tech all classes and race straight through with a 15 minute break between races.



Races will be 25 lap segments with 3 off rule being used for Old Time Modified, 1/32 Modified, Winged Sprints, FCR(SDR)Dirt late model.



The Street Stock are a crash and burn class. We are going to run 15 lap segments and have two races with total laps the winner. The other rotating fifth class races are 15 lap segments.



The classes are in order to be run. Old Time Modified, 1/32 dirt modified, FCR(SDR) Dirt late model, winged sprint cars. The rotating fifth class. Ie (Silver crown cars, 1/32 DLM, Legends, Street Stocks).



The donation is $20.00 covering all races and coffee.

Must be a ASSCC member to race the series.

6. No oil or braid juice during mains(heats, Consi, feature , etc)
