I just want to say that during my racing career (1970's-1990s) if the power problems I experienced could have been cured with a 2 minute break then I would have had a better racing experience at many SoCal raceways.

LOL,in the 70s-80s we didn't have the internet to bitch,moan and cry on,,we just did what we had to to race.We where happy to find a track with 8 working lanes.

Too much traffic and too many 9-11 (Airport) police nowadays. Besides where'd everyone meet up? Bob's Big Boy turned into an apartment complex years ago

along side the landing strip. When there was no traffic to dodge, I do 100 before I
had to slow for the esses turns. No more Hughes, its all apartments now too.

And Nabisco is gone, too. Many late night drag racing, errrr, carb clearing was done there, too.
