It's not hard that it's bad for me, but also Mike Aguirre because Zero will be racing OMO.

My offer stands to Mike and Todd, if you need some Blue Magic to help rubber in the track, I am glad to give it to Mike when I see him... Todd, hope that your track is a huge success, it is beautiful, and you and Mike and others have done a great job !

Zero has altered his race schedule and will be at Todd's place.

Do you really need to race on the third Saturday there?
BP is turning into a ghost town fast enough without that kind of help. . .

I'll never understand why having more tracks could not be better!! If we can get more people racing--perhaps we can gain business instead of thinking we're losing business. Having a new flat track may be good for BPR's flat track program also! I"d like to race at both tracks--their very different. And the 3rd Sat at BPR has not been well attended-- it's probably the best day to use--then schedule another day for BPR flat track racing. It could be good--- let's race!

Being that there is no wing racing at BP, why not use the first Saturday of the month?
That way there is 2 flat track races a month, one at each place. . .

It's also probably good to remember that the flat track @ BPR will be taken down (pretty soon) and possibly not back up until........???? Therefore, this could by default become the scrra flat track race for several months until such time as BPR gets theirs back up and running. Seems to me that the scrra would be all over having a flat track venue available rather than just running on the BPR King twice a month for the indeterminate future. I don't think that the scrra rules and bylaws would have any provision against running somewhere other than BPR if such additional venue were available (which it now is). Then again.....I'm just an interested observer.

Sorry I have not responded to the thread sooner.
Mike, Tim, and myself have been quite busy on this new project. The track it self is finally finished. It has been resurfaced, rebraided, and restriped.
The facility is a 2400 square foot building in Yorba Linda, CA. The address is 22345 East La Palma Ave #107, Yorba Linda, CA. At this time the track will be open on Thursdays at 4 and closing at 9:30. We will increase to the weekends when we are completely finished.
Please be patient with us about more track hours we do have real jobs and this has been a lot of work. We are planning a race for the later half of May but we need to make sure a few things are finished. As soon as we know the date and time it will be posted. We will be running LMP GT12 and 1/24 Euro. There we be membership fees and track fees and they will be posted on The Cave Raceway web site very soon. You can visit the website at thecaveraceway.com
Thanks for everyone's hard work and support.

I just Czeched my calendar and it looks like May 17 (actually, Czech your calendar and you'll see it is really the 18th) will not be good for me as my younger daughter is flying out to San Jose for her graduation from San Jose State with a Masters in Library Science. Looks like she is also bringing Grandson, so it will be a fun packed weekend chasing him around. Looks like my next opportunity will be in June. Kinda disappointed I can't make it for your first race. As earlier posted, this is a world class track and well worth a 400 mile drive. I'll be checking for your next race announcement!

My mistake on the date, perhaps we need to do a Friday night/Saturday day race then... I'll have an LMP car ready for your grandson "just in case"...

A couple questions:
Is there tables to pit on or do we need to bring one?
Does the LMP class use a Flexi chassis?
Just want to confirm.
Thank you,

Pit space is there, and yes, the LMP class uses a Flexi chassis. JK Cheetah 11, X24, X25 were pretty much what we use at BP. I am putting my boys on X24s. I use the Cheetah 11.
See you there...

I just might try and make it for the opening. I have a running LMP car and several chassis, and I'll check the rules for GT12 and see if I have enough stuff to make one.
Also gotta put my DR-40 back together & get a couple of vacation days off work.
Also the hospital should be calling me in for another CT scan around then.
Maybe I better not try and make the opening, but I will head out soon and try that fablous-looking track.
