Here is a pic of one of my favorites. A 1967 Austin Mini pickup that I restored while overseas (1997). I brought it back with me, then like a dummy, I sold it in 2000.

It's already a pretty difficult car to resist but it'll become absolutely impossible if Chrysler starts producing these in colours like Curious Yellow, Panther Pink, and Plum Crazy:

Marty Robbins, the famous country and western singer, competed in 35 NASCAR Grand National stock car races from the late sixties through the early eighties:

Marty Robbins' NASCAR career

This was quite the achievement for a fellow who was effectively an amateur going up against well financed professional teams. Here's a pic of his 1972 Dodge Charger leading a pack of cars:

And here are some pics of his 1973-74 Dodge Charger:

And here are a couple of pics of his 1975-76 Dodge magnum:

This website contains quite a few more great pics of Marty's dodges and other cool stockers:

Sweet, Tim! When I win the lottery, I want a '62 Impala convertible, white with red interior.... 409 with an auto transmission. I want it for the speaker between the rear seats!

What I'd LOVE to find is an original "bubble top" '62 Impala!! But I don't think I can afford one of those!!

I STOLE this one from a guy in Burbank that had been doing his own restore on it and owned it for fifteen years!! It's in really nice shape - not perfect - but a great driver!!

To bad she's been sitting in the garage the last two years due to lack of funds.

Originally a 340 four-speed car, she now sports a warmed over 440 with a 727, and 4:11 spool rear. Running on street tires through tiny 2-1/2" exhaust with mufflers, the day I had it to the track she turned an 11.83. Need to drop the exhaust, rejet the carb, and add some slicks and she'll really fly.

Vay, you need to format your pictures with a max size of 800 pixels please. These large pictures cost us a lot of money and I am the one paying the bill.

Of course you COULD use the "donate" button at the bottom left of the page... hint, hint. :)

I think I'll go look for some big pictures now. Is Godzilla related to slot cars in any way?

That's turn 2 at Vegas - I'm somewhere in the middle of those spectators... I watched the whole race from there as that was one of the few passing zones on that track. :)

Interesting too are the slot cars they brought along with them to run on the track!
