RAM also did similar style motors ,although I can't help with model numbers. The pittman may even be DC84.. someone should be able to help you out further.
There has recently been some original drag cars on epay with the very motors you probably need for that chassis.

theres a dc84 6v......dc65a 12v and a kemtron mustang 6v I think? and some other pittman dc 66 and types that look like it. im waiting to hear back from the sellers I made offers to

Here's the instruction sheet from my frame - there's an extra motor plate that looks like it's supposed to be screwed to the plate in the frame - the extra plate has the holes, but not the one in the frame!
That's definitely the size for a Pittman DC84 or DC85, or a Ram DC850 or DC857, or a Strombecker clone, the Devastator I think...

Never having had one, I've always wondered how the motor was supposed to be mounted. I might have used a brass 'L' soldered at the back of the chassis plate with motor stud holes in the upright of the 'L'. Should I ever build one, I'll probably use a can motor.
