Yeah--- I"ve got 1/32 scale size truck from FLY--and they look smaller than the pics above-- but they probably are somewhere between 1/24 and 1/32. In any case--they look COOL!! And if we could find them--we have about a dozen guys at BPR raceway that would like to race them with scratchbuilt chassis!!

Not just guys who race at BPR ... These look really cool and would be fun to scratch build a chassis for one of these

That makes the unpainted truck body $21.16 if you can get one. Still pretty steep for a slot car body.

Been waiting for these for some time now. I would also like to get my hands on a couple to build. Will you be providing any info as to how, when, and the price to obtain some of them? John.

Did you ever get a way to get these trucks?

Never have seen these here in the states. From above--they are from Brazil. Perhaps Gugu can tell you?

There was a Fly truck series several years ago but it didn't endure. I have several of the Fly trucks....they are beautiful.

Are the bodies using big tires - like around 1"? If they are, then the HARDBODY line like B&E, MidAm, or similar can fit them. Theses are all inline, but if you are using the FK style motor, so what.

So....back to the trucks from Brazil....those are about a 1:20 scale it seems. So what chassis do you strap them on? Adjustable hard body frame?

I have a few of the Brazilian bodies in clear and 3 JK completes and 1 JK NOS unbuilt chassis. The JK uses a GT12/Euro like tool steel chassis and when setup correctly were a blast. S16D's were what we ran in them. The Brazilians were running wire and brass chassis in the beginning and then for awhile I believe they switched over to a tool steel like chassis. I believe they always used a Plafit like motor.
While they look cool, it is not a new racer class in my opinion. They take some fitness to hustle around the track.

Hi Matt,
Do you know where I could get a couple of those bidies? I'd love to build a couple to show the locals and perhaps get interest in running them. But they need to be accessable.

those bodies on a flexi car and a flat track must be awesome. I've raced the 1/32 Fly Trucks and they are great.

Honestly, we raced the JK truck bodies on the King and Flat track at eddies using Champion turbo chassis and Hawk 6 (ceramic, no neo magnets) as the specific formula. The truck bodies race GREAT on both the King and flat, though we geared them differently, of course. You have no need for all that South American swoop. Weight them a little towards the rear and they run like a "Deere". We had a 12 race once a month alternating from flat to King race series that was enjoyed by all. Oh, easy to spot your truck...

Using two old 4 inch jk chassis, I modified the front to take a 3/32 axle set up with .790 fronts. Drivetrain is setup with 1/8 rear axle and 48 pitch gears, running hawk 25 motors, 8/27 ratio to .820 rears. I used the new JK floating bodyount set.
These are JK Buggyra bodies and stickers plus a few pinewood derby stickers thrown in by my son for flavor. Painted with wicked colors waterbase in his two favorite colors orange and brown.
Cant wait to hit the track!

We ran the trucks today at the Race Place in Farmingdale. (NJ) they ran great! Balanced speed and handling, the kids did great with them. Need a bit more body trimming and some filing where the rear tires rub slightly on the chassis. Then just track time and maintenance.
Happy to have these for my two little dudes. Zen and the art of slotcars in the making.
