I would be more interested to know the purpose of the tubing over the tuning fork on both sides of the motor?
I'm going to guess that they shift fore and aft and are there to confuse people.

A Main racers: Don Campbell, Duran Trujillo, Tore Anderson, Gary Donahoe, Matt Bruce, Haruki, Bryan Warmack, Howie Ursaner.
One hell of a field here for this year's Parma Checkpoint A Main final. A little bit of everything... old racers, new racers, local racers, national racers, and international racers!!!
A Main results
Another great A Main at the Parma Checkpoint!! At half distance it was anyone's race but Duran's motor slowed and Matt slowly pulled away from Bryan in second. Great run, Gary, in third and fantastic effort by Haruki to earn a fine fourth, coming from the B. Fourth through seventh separated by less than a lap! Congrats, Matt, on a flawless race!!
A Main podium
1) Matt Bruce
2) Bryan Warmack
3) Gary Donahoe

And look at Matt's asymmetrical pans (rear of the pans). I'd read earlier about him adding weight to the inside rear wheel (re: donut) but later removing it.
I know I'd heard about adding weight to only one side, and done it myself a few years back. But I'd fallen out of the "habit" and needed to be re-awoken to such "possibilities". Adding weight asymmetrically isn't always needed, but being open to such considerations IS needed... keeping an open mind to try whatever may need to be done. Thanks for the wake-up call!
(That's probably the 33rd time I've been presented with that lesson... guess I can't say I've learned it yet. )
Remember, two wrongs don't make a right... but three lefts do! Only you're a block over and a block behind.

Lookit that pan hinge on Gary's chassis... a little battle damage, eh?
Yup, in the third heat while on the black lane I failed to avoid a car off in the donut. It buckled the body, bent the outrigger, and dislodged the LF pin. Luckily Don had included an extra down stop or I would have been out.

I can repair it and it will be better than new... and build you something fresh to add to your fleet. I'm working on some new F1 chassis right now... Im going to figure those F1s out this time!
Great race weekend for you, Gary! Good job, my friend!
