Less than 3-1 is lots of gear.
As Matt mentioned, he ran 9-27 and 9-28.
BTW, the motor is selling well.
Talking to Jerry earlier, he mentioned selling 250 since the weekend.
Nice #'s, but really not that much $$$ wise.
But the important thing is raceway's are selling them and the $6.95 ARP pinions that typically go on them.

PS- Congrats on your first Slotblog post without the word "choir" in it. LOLhey ya awl,
Ran in the same Port Jeff race as Matt with the JK Retro Hawk in my Coupe Fk I ran10/29 gears. Pat the Cat burned up a JK Retro Hawk in a F1 geared 9/26. The ratio is almost identical and the vehicle weight same so I will have to do more testing in the future to determine cause/causes.
