Heck ya! Keep it coming...
This is now modified - music rules set to include 1960's music and automotive related songs. I promise we will have cool vintage music on raceday.
(sorry not spinning vinyl, music unfortunately will be digital)
Gator Bob - Do I need to install a flat screen near the drag track for you to run music videos? Hey, did you pinch our cars through a chop shop? Your posts are awesome!

We're kids right?
Only at heart.
But ..... We do get less upset when we let the 'Bodies Hit The Floor'

"Low Rider", War
this one is pretty much guaranteed...if you remember riding in your car with this in an 8 track player, you might just be a kid in this crowd.
Rumor is there may be some of the cars and drivers from this video at the race. JK

I've recounted this story a couple of times here on Slotblog..........
Summer of '69(or was it '68?).... I don't even remember what they called the track then... they'd relocated from their Bellaire, Texas location... run by Lee and Lolly Davidson(Lee worked at a local Ford dealership). I'd just begun "racing" slot cars as opposed to "playing" with them.(my first scratchbuilts used 26D's in an inline Dune Buggy class). I was 16 years old(or 15 in '68). There was a jukebox at the track. After the track would close at night, the front door would be locked, the lights would go off, and I'd hang out with the track owners and a few of the "big dogs" in the back. It would be dark except for the light coming in through the plate glass windows up front, and light in the back from the jukebox. They'd include me in the bourbon and Cokes being poured up. Invariably, "Mechanical World" by Spirit would come up on the jukebox. "Mechanical World". Bourbon and Coke. Hangin' with the track owners and big dog racers in the semi-dark light of a jukebox. (sigh)
Really good memories.

"My Ferrari GTO", The Revells - this song will be dedicated to Mike Page - his favorite slot car as a kid at his Dad's track...and I found one for him 40 years later. We'll have to break out the revell cars from under the glass for a 4 lane showing during this song...including Mike's.
Which song for you slotcarone?

"The Restless Rookie", The Revells
Surf City, Jan and Dean 1963
In '94 I helped my buddy restore a '63? cadillac ragtop just like the one in the video - I painted her 3-stage hot pearl pink sikkens, she had a white top and white leather interior and red carpet. We would get the best looks on Daytona Beach.
