I've had problems with those rubber ones, they can get sucked under the chassis.

Tim I wasnt gonna worry about front tires since they really dont do much. Forrest corrected me on it. Its not that hard to put front tires on the car anyways.

Their just EXTREMELY SILLY!! Their no more than "sticker" fronts we use in Flexi's or GT 12~!! They aren't really tires---their made of plastic---wouldn't roll or support the car if you had to try to use them!! At least with sticker front tires--it LOOKS like you have a front tire!! RIDICULOUS!!

is this just a SoCal thing?

Pretty much Jeff. Maybe they were trying to attract some of the SCRRA guys to race Group F as well, I really dont know. There really isnt a set of house rules for Group F printed out that I know of, but I could've missed them too.

During the initial talk of starting up a $100 wing car monthly race at BPR motors came up and it was decided to use the Hawk Retro since all of us in the group raced Retro CanAm and F1. We had motors already and, well, some were still fast but had worn to the point of not enough breaking power for the 90+ gram Retro cars... they were perfect for the wing cars.
At that point I don't think anyone had even heard of "Group F" at BPR.

hmm, I should come out and play...
what is the recommended gear ratio and tire choice?
Cry like a baby, drive like a girl, walk like a man.
Give me enough rope and I'll build a fast car... or hang myself?

Just need a few more hardy souls!! It's a "Spec" tire Mike---I'm sure Jim or Debby can tell you what gear.

Gear ratio 16 39 64p and the tires are Koford M472-615WX+
This is Jims suggestion for starting.

14x38 or 39 to start. thats what we're running back here. RED FOX Shadow or O/S Corvette work the best on our King. We're also cutting .250 off the top of the side dams front to rear.
