Yeah Group F still new at this wing racing but getting better Thanks to all the help from people like Jason.

FYI - I checked with Debbie today and she mentioned the earliest start time possible for tomorrow's first Wing Car race will most likely be at 3 PM due to a Cub Scout event being held on the King track until early afternoon.

FK Wing Racing for the month of May - 5/6/18

Andy Stapars did some practicing today with two of his Koford 4.35 chassis running the new Phoenix motor geared 15T angled pinion with the JK 37T spur gear.  Andy was running consistent 2.7's laps with both cars.  After 400+ laps, both motors were still running cool.  All signs looks good for a very fast competitive race scheduled next month July 1, 2018.  It was announced by Forest that the next Wing Car race we'll be running the new Phoenix motor.  Debbie at BPR has put in for a large order of these motors and they should be available at the track soon.

What body was he using and also any recommended break in method for these motors?

Looked like a Camen SuPro with rib.  Break in - not sure other than he put a lot of laps on both cars.

The race has been tentatively scheduled for July 1. The optional date is the 8th. With the 4th being on wednesday, we are not sure which date would be best so please comment on the dates so we can make a smart decision and get the most racers to the track. Racing will start about 3.

 

The big news is we are switching the focus of our Group F race to the new PHOENIX motor. For the first few races we are going with a spec gear ratio. Roger recommends 13-37, so that is what we are going to go with for a little bit until we learn about these motors and then we will make a decision about what we want to do. This will be the first race of the day and if we get enough FK racers we will run that next.

 

It looks like everyone has lost interest in the Retro Hawk motor.
