That's the one I really wanted to find someone to turn down the rear axle between the bearings and the gear to 3/32". Those "steps" would have provided a more realistic look than the thick 1/8" shows.

Something to work on for the future I guess.

I was pretty sure you were involved in the creation of that car, Jairus, but didn't know exactly how so I didn't mention you in the blurb.

I assume the chassis is your nice work?

BTW, I have heard of guys reducing 2mm arm shafts down to 1.5mm by running the motor and using a spinning Dremel cut-off wheel for their "lathe tool". Never tried it myself...

Barely visible, Jairus, but I know you guys are perfectionists.

Those 1/32 Lolas are fabulous!

1/24, Don. Testors model kit that I glued together and gutted to make room. That driver is a vac formed shoulders and arms with a Cox or Champion head.

The chassis with the suspension details was indeed constructed on my bench. Sent to Chris who decaled and painted. I think I painted the driver though and added the exhaust pipes. Hard to remember because it was so long ago.

We did two of them with that one being the last of the open wheel cars. First was a Lotus and the second this one.

As you can clearly see the axle tube... that's what inspired me to go with the brass uprights and axle stub in front.

Just have a couple of shots of this nice '40 Ford pickup painted in my favorite Ford color of this era.

Don't know if this is a Monogram or not, nor even for sure what scale... 1/24, I think.

I compared the size of the guide flag to the width of the grillle. I'd say it was 1/24, too.

It's 1/24 Monogram pick-up slot car. Original slot car. I'll try to find more of these photos. I think it's in albums in my Facebook page.
