For me, I find it exciting to hear of a new raceway opening up - no matter where that might be.
+1!
And I love seeing the pictures of new (and old) tracks! I always wish I were there to run a couple hundred laps.

The Raceway List is really valuable to those of us who travel with family, and can bring our race box along.
Although I do wish that the RL was lead-pipe current, I can take it on to call, and hit Facebook to determine
if a raceway in my chosen path is still viable. I wish this wasn't necessary, but it's far better than having
no place from which to start.
Marketing, the lack thereof, has been the Achilles heel of this business, and therefore this hobby. There are
some of the raceways that do the necessary work to keep adding customers – and you know who you are –
but it is nuts to see the folks that don't. Nuts!
BTW, the raceway in New Mexico (on our list) has no current Facebook page, and no phone from which I could get
any response.
In closing, so grateful for all of you who are running raceways. We owe you a metric ton of gratitude. I will always
try to come by if I'm going to be in the area. And call first, to connect.

Never forget that first place goes to the racer with the MOST laps, not the racer with the FASTEST lap

I can remember going on vacation with my parents. When we arrived at the motel I would check the yellow pages in the phone book to see if there was a track or hobby shop with a track to visit.
(Current generation - What's a phone book?)
Thank you, Greg, for this list.

Bob, I used to do the very same thing.
Honestly, the Raceway List has been the single most frustrating task I've ever taken on... almost as frustrating as my ex-wife. LOL.

I remember when raceways would pay to be on such a list. Now some expect it for free and to be promoted and updated without any involvement.
Meanwhile with Google at our fingertips we still ask random people for locations of tracks within our areas. Boggles my mind.
